The white space. Colors standing aside, still.
In front of the whiteness I feel captured. It hushes me. Each time.
What or whom will be unveiled from the immaculate surface?
Which gestures will help to discover their core?
The brush needs the space of a breathing to follow the inner impulse.
Urge that can be visible, alive and meaningful only by the life of colors.
The very guide. Each time.

In chilldhood If I had to choose between dolls and pencils
I would not had any doubt, pencils.
At that time pencils meant the world of colors.
The world where I wanted to live.
Actually I have been constructing it around me since then.
Being daily in contact with colors is source of health.
Through them my emotions have a place to be embraced.
And it does not matter in which realm – painting, graphics, cooking, interior design, fashion – they will be expressed anyway.

My degree was in Architecture and during the University I had many opportunities to get in touch with art works.
Some of my teachers were also important artists in Brasil as Renina Katz and Claudio Tozzi.
And I could develop some skills in painting, drawing and etching.

Later, in Italy, my interest in  Antroposophic philosophy made me deepen into the study of the Rudolf Steiner’s theory of colors.
His approach touched the right ropes of my soul, the yearning to explore the interiority of things.

In Florence for some years I attended a school of Art therapy which helped me to enlarge the meaning and vision
of what is called artistic expression. Besides the healing aspects of colors allowed me a new conscious involvement when I paint.

Some subjects attracts me particularly. Flowers in which colors reach their apotheosis.
Faces in which every sutil shade can transform expression and depicts infinite and mysterious inner worlds.

The activity of painting often raises reflection about what is harmony, beauty, meaning.
Through and with colors I explore these concepts  concretely. A constant research to go beyond limits.

That is beautiful which is produced  by the inner need, which springs from the soul.
Wassily Kandinsky / Concerning the Spiritual in Art (1911)

The perception of beauty is a moral test.
Henry David Thoreau / Journal (1852)
